Jersey's favourites announced on My Favourite Jersey – tipped to be the ultimate community website for the Island

My Favourite Jersey (MYFJ) is starting life as a brand new community website for everything that is great about Jersey. The website (www.myfj.je) has been designed by, and for, people who are passionate about Jersey.

The site is offcially being launched this week but has already been receiving over 1000 visitors a week since going live. Each visitor is spending a lengthy 17 minutes per visit proving that MYFJ has already captured imaginations and is set to be a major force in how the Island communicates.

My Favourite Jersey (www.myfj.je) is different from any other information portal as it gives you the chance to share your favourites and make your opinions count. MYFJ gives you unbiased accounts of the Island's favourite places to go, the latest places to be seen, where to fnd favourite services and suppliers – not to mention favourite benches, memories and smells to name just a few!

It's time to make your opinion count!
Audition now to support current favourites and nominate new ones. By completing a personal interview through a simple audition process, you can add, change and connect with favourites. As a visitor you can enjoy personal interviews, blogs and Parish pages, and in the process, discover Jersey from the people who know it and love it. Make your opinion count!

"To keep the ethos and integrity of MYFJ, the only way companies can feature on the site is by being nominated via the personal interviews or on the subject specifc blogs", explained Leanda Jane Guy, My Favourite Jersey. "So your favourites really are just that, favourites!"

My Favourite Parish community pages
As well as the personal interviews and subject specifc blogs, My Favourite Jersey will also provide the individual Parishes with a brand new way to communicate within the Parish. The My Favourite Parish section will offer 'easy-to-use', interactive pages for everyone to communicate Parish-wide.

My Favourite Parish's simple networking tools will let members easily create their own content, allowing MYFJ to become the quickest way to spread the word about all activity in each Parish. Let everyone know what is going on; share your good news and post your press releases or events. Businesses, clubs, associations and individuals will be able to submit their news and events to My Favourite Parish for all to see. With additional polling and blog features coming soon you can discover what the Island is thinking and doing at the touch of a button!
