Description
Nick was born in 1960 and educated at St George's and Victoria College. Nick did not attend art college, so effectively is self-taught. Nick worked locally in advertising and art and design until 1990. During that time Nick was exhibiting locally. Nick has been a self-employed artist and illustrator for the last 18 years, and since leaving school, Nick has completed 20 successful exhibitions. Nick's work now is splite between private commissions and developing new exhibitions.. Nick has also illustrated several natural history books, both Local and National, as well as work for the States of Jersey Environment Department and the National Trust for Jersey.
Nick has been designing postage stamps for Jersey Post for the last 13 years, totaling some 14 sets, with 3 further sets in progress. Nick's passion for the natural world always has a presence in his work, but is not necessarily the central theme. Painting must be allowed to evolve. Anyone who wants to know Nick, will discover this in his work.
