Description
Born in Jersey. Channel Islands. 11 October 1967 Nicholas studied at Camberwell College of Art and Design in London and has been strongly involved in the London and Jersey art scene over the last two decades having been involved in thirteen solo shows and over fifty group exhibitions around Europe and is currently lecturing at Highlands School of Art in Jersey. Romeril's work is present in many public and private collections through out the world.
Currently, Nick's work is focused on the seascapes around Jersey's coast. He is making large scale oil paintings on canvas, oils on slate, mixed media on hand made paper, prints and sculptures. 'My subjects are almost universal, they could be anywhere in the world. I give the sand dunes, boulders, beaches and skies my own particular angle and treatment. Although I am aware of the size of Jerseyís landmass I have always wanted to express myself to a larger audiences'.
